Admissions

The admission process for the academic year 2025-26 will start as per the following schedule. The process will be completely online. Please read the instructions carefully before you apply. Thank you!

  • Jr. KG  – 7th October 2024 onward 

  • Grade 6 To 8 – 25th November onward 

  • There are no vacancies in Nursery, Sr KG  and 5 & 9 as of now. You may apply in-waiting for admission in these grades. School will inform the students who are waiting if any vacancy arises in case of withdrawals from current students.

Please note that applying for admission or paying registration charge Rs. 1000/- does not guarantee an admission.

WE DO NOT TAKE NEW ADMISSIONS IN GRADE 10 AND 12.

AGE CRITERIA

For admission in Nursery, the child should be between the age 3 to 4 years. The cut-off date is 31st May 2022 for Nursery. Meaning, the child should have completed 3 years before 31st May 2025, but should not be over 4 years. 

Accordingly, you can add one year to know the age criteria required for admission in a respective grade. i.e. cut-off date for Jr. KG will be 31st May 2021 and so on. The age criteria mentioned above has been set by the Government of Gujarat and is applicable to all the schools of different boards across the state.

PROCESS

Once you have filled-in the admission form online and submitted all the documents, kindly book your appointment slot to visit the school for a formal interaction with the child & parents.If you are unable to attend the interaction on your selected/appointed date, please inform the school in advance so the slot can be opened for others. You can then reschedule your appointment from the portal.

This interaction prior to confirming the admission is very important. It will help satisfy your queries related to activities, syllabus, school timings, fees, subject choices, etc. It also enables the parents to understand the school in a better way while we can confirm the details submitted in the Application Form. 

A written assessment is conducted for three subjects – English, Maths & Science for admissions in Grade 5 onward. There is no written assessment for admissions in Nursery to Grade 4. 

 

Documents to be submitted along with Admission Form:

Child’s birth certificate (Notarized English translation if the certificate is not in English)

  1. Upload latest passport-size photographs of the child, and both the parents

  2. Academic reports of the last two years – For grade 1 onward

  3. Aadhar Card of the child, father & mother

  4. Residence proof of father / mother / guardian – where the child is residing. 

  5. PAN card of both the parents

  6. Hall Ticket / Admit Card (only for students seeking admission in 11th)

Please ensure to scan documents properly. You can upload photographs in JPEG format and rest of the documents in JPEG/PDF format. Admission Form with incomplete or blurry/not-aligned documents will be REJECTED.

FOR ADMISSION IN HOSTEL

  • Hostel facility is available from grade 6 onwards and it is optional. Getting admission in school does not guarantee an admission in the hostel.

  • A letter of recommendation is required from a person of good reputation or from an SGVP parent. (Reference will be verified)

  • Personal interaction will be held with the child and parents for admission consideration in the hostel. (Interaction will be possible only between 9:00 AM to 12 noon.)

  • A Pocket Money account is maintained for every child in the hostel for books, uniforms, sports equipment, laundry, and other expenses not covered in the school fees.

  • You are welcome to visit the hostel office in-person between 9:00 am to 12:00 noon to know more about hostel life and meet the hostel officials.

NRI ADMISSIONS

NRI parents are requested to communicate with the school office through email on admin@sgvp.org for further process after submitting the form and documents online. Personal interaction with the child & parents at the school and hostel will be conducted through Google Meet at mutually agreed date and time. 

Additional documents required for NRI admissions (Attested photocopies only):

  1. Passport/OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) of the student along with student visa

  2. Passport/OCI of both the parents

Once admission is cleared by the school, parents will be informed of the decision by a call or an email with further instructions to pay fees within stipulated time limit. Admissions with incomplete documentation will not be cleared until necessary documents are not submitted online as detailed above.

Documents to be submitted once admission is confirmed:

  1. School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate from previous school (original – hardcopy)

  2. Final Academic Report (Result card) of the last academic year (photocopy)

  3. Migration Certificate (applicable to the students taking admission in grade 11 only – Original)

  4. Certificate of SC / ST / OBC (if applicable)

Please note that the admission will be provisional until the Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate of the previous school & academic report showing that the child is promoted to next grade are submitted in the school office.

Dates of orientation program, school reopening and other important instructions will be shared over email to the successful candidates.
