Pocket Money

To meet day-to-day expanses such as stationary, personal needs, snacks, picnic, phone calls, laundry etc. student’s pocket money account is being maintained. As hostel does not permit the keeping or handling of cash by students, computerized account is maintained by hostel administration and all such expanses are deducted from the account directly.

The pocket money account is activated on receipt of the pocket money and it is maintained till minimum balance in the account.
The parents should ensure to deposit pocket money in any branch of ICICI bank through bank payin slip provided by SGVP on or before the date as mentioned in the application booklet in favor of “FCHOST” for yearly pocket money expanses. Reconciliation of the same is done at the end of each term.

Compulsory expenses like for text books & study materials, complete dress code, laundry charges, Gurukul Darshan periodical and misc. compulsory expenses will be automatically deducted from pocket money account without parent’s consent. Regular spending like purchases to be made in & outside the campus, participation fees of various competitions and tickets/transportation charge of students travelling alone during vacation or while on leave will be deducted from Pocket money account.

Normally, parent’s written consent is must for the expanses more than Rs. 500. But, for senior students of Std. 10, 11 & 12, Rs. 1000/- (max) will be given for local outing and while proceeding on leave without parent’s consent. The limit of amount given during outing will be decided by hostel office only.

Fees for sports coaching, extra coaching, tour expenses will not deducted from pocket money account. Payment of such expenses must be deposited well before the commencement of the activity. Otherwise, it will not be made available.

Charges for long tour/excursion, birthday party, special treat to fellow students, etc. can be adjusted from pocket money account if such request is made by parents in written in advance. The same amount should be paid within 30 days of spending.

Written statement of the pocket money account for each student will be made available to the parents at the end of each term for their reference.
