Janmashtami Celebration

SGVP’s Joyful Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami celebration at SGVP International School was a delightful blend of devotion, culture, and joy, reflecting the true spirit of the festival.

The program beautifully unfolded with soulful prayers and the chanting of shlokas, creating a divine ambience. A graceful dance followed, mesmerizing the audience with its elegance. Students then brought Krishna’s life alive through lively dances, devotional songs, and skits, making the celebration both engaging and meaningful. The reenactment of Govardhan Leela stood out as a highlight, illustrating Lord Krishna’s victory over Indra’s arrogance while imparting timeless lessons of humility and righteousness.

One of the most anticipated moments was the Dahi Handi event, where children, full of excitement, formed human pyramids to break the pot of curd. Their cheerful efforts, combined with the joyous energy of Matki Fod and the lively Garba by the Govindas, added vibrancy and festivity to the occasion.

The celebration was further enriched by the inspiring address of the Principal, Ms. Padma Kumar, who drew wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita. Her message emphasized devotion, righteousness, and the need to live by Krishna’s values—resonating deeply with everyone present.

Overall, the Janmashtami festivities at SGVP were a perfect harmony of devotion and culture. The event not only celebrated Lord Krishna’s divine spirit but also fostered joy, unity, and togetherness, leaving the entire school community spiritually uplifted and delighted.
